1. Cancellation by Weather or Operational Constraints
Helicopter flights are strictly governed by visibility parameters and mountain weather. Safety check requirements are mandated by aviation regulators. If your flight is cancelled due to:
- Heavy rain, storm, thick cloud/fog layer over Katra or Sanjichhat.
- Technical reasons or regulatory security updates.
- Sudden operator constraints.
A full refund of the ticket cost will be initiated for the cancelled leg(s) of the journey. We coordinate with operators to ensure these cancellations are processed promptly.
2. Cancellation by the Passenger
If a passenger decides to cancel their booked ticket due to personal reasons, refunds are calculated based on the timing of the cancellation request relative to the scheduled departure time:
- More than 72 hours before flight: 80% refund of the booking amount.
- Between 24 to 72 hours before flight: 50% refund of the booking amount.
- Less than 24 hours before flight: No refund / 100% cancellation charges apply.
- No Show: No refund will be provided for passengers who fail to report at the Katra Helipad by the designated check-in deadline.
3. Refund Processing Timeline
- Refunds for weather-cancelled flights are processed after proper validation from the aviation operator's logs.
- All approved refunds will be credited back to the passenger's original payment method (bank account, card, or wallet) used at the time of booking.
- Processing takes approximately 5 to 7 working days to reflect in your account, depending on bank processing cycles.
4. Changes and Rescheduling
Rescheduling is subject strictly to flight slot availability, passenger weights, and operator authorization. We cannot guarantee slot adjustments during peak pilgrimage seasons. If rescheduling is not possible, standard passenger cancellation guidelines outlined in Section 2 will apply.
